It's a 3 pin JST connector, and can be used to extend the BlinkyPixels with another set of LEDs. It is the same connector that is on the ultra thin LEDs: http://forums.blinkinlabs.com/index.php?p=/discussion/258/connector-type-for-ultra-thin-led-tape
