EightByEight
Hi Matt,
I noticed that EightByEight is listed in the scene configuration. Does Pattern Paint now support EightByEight, as it does for other Blinky devices? Also, any update as to when BlinkyPendant will be supported as a continuous playback device, in the same manner as other the Blinkies?

Right! The EightByEight is only partially supported at the moment (it can do live preview, but not save). Hoping to fix that soon, as we're going to bring a bunch to the Maker Faire in San Mateo.
And hmm, we keep putting off the BlinkyPendant mods. I'd like to, we need add DFU firmware updates into PatternPaint.
Got a first pass version of the blinkyPendant with a time-based playback mode:
https://github.com/Blinkinlabs/BlinkyPendant/commit/d19c5542f62c6cdfa5c8af4339f67faf4ba62a8a
Right now, the mode is set when saving the patterns out from PatternPaint, and it can either be in POV mode or timed mode. I also fixed a long-standing bug that was leading to some data corruption on the POV. The firmware is stable now, but there's still some issue where the live preview mode isn't working when in timed mode- as soon as that's fixed, I'll release a v3 firmware.
New firmware for the BlinkyPendant is ready:
https://github.com/Blinkinlabs/BlinkyPendant/tree/3d53fdfb2f2c6fae7f22e12bd1d8f2efe689c9b7/bin
And support has been integrated into PatternPaint:
https://github.com/Blinkinlabs/PatternPaint/commit/cc72b1491093c3ec184b6ded3ea12ad280cdf0ed
You'll need to use 'dfu-util' to update the firmware on your BlinkyPendant, and then you can use the Preferences screen in PatternPaint to choose between 'POV' and 'Timed' mode on the BlinkyPendant.
I was able to update the firmware. However, generating a new PatternPaint install is outside my skills. Can you post a new release of PP?
Sure, what platform are you using?
Win8 64bit
Here's a prerelease one:

link should be good for a few weeks, or whenever the new PatternPaint release is ready.
Any luck with this one?
