OK, sounds like there might be an issue with connecting to the tapes. Did the version of AmbiTape you're using run properly and present you with a list of serial ports to choose? I'm attaching a version of DiscoParty for you to try.

Hmm...that's weird. What OS and version are you running? We haven't seen this one yet. It might indicate that there's a conflict opening the sound input source.

Not yet but that's a great idea! For now, you can use PatternPaint to make an image and save it to a .png for sharing.

It's actually not an image, but rather a special sketch that you can load with Arduino: http://blinkinlabs.com/blinkytape/docs/arduino/ Restoring factory firmware would be a great option in PatternPaint, though.
